BECAUSE DIGNITY IS A RIGHT NOT A PRIVILEGE.
Families lack access to food and proper nutrition, cuts to education are deepening inequality, adequate medical care is out of reach for many and war and poverty are displacing people from their homes.
Congregations, conferences, families and individuals like you are eagerly rallying to elevate the God-given dignity of every person through the This Moment Matters campaign.
FIVE KEY AREAS OF URGENT NEED:
This moment matters. In a time when vital support systems are being stripped away and inequalities continue to grow, your generosity sends a powerful message to God’s children: Dignity is a right, not a privilege.
Partner with us to affirm that every person is created in the image of God. We do not bring hope to others on our own—we join with God, who is already present and working in every heart and every place, drawing us into partnership in God’s mission of love and care for all people.
Join us in this vital effort by giving generously today. With your gift, you become part of a legacy of hope that has been furthering human dignity for generations and continues to transform lives today.
Help more families find hope.
Guided by the biblical call to feed the hungry, we are responding to the global crisis of hunger and malnutrition made worse by the collapse of major U.S. foreign aid programs. Through the Yambasu Agriculture Initiative in Africa, your support improves farming methods, boosts harvests and strengthens nutrition. Together, we not only will fill empty bellies, but also seek to create sustainable income, empowering families to move from survival to stability.
Methodists have long championed education as central to God’s mission—a powerful way to equip leaders and transform communities. Today, as cuts to education systems deepen inequality and hurt marginalized communities, your support is crucial. Through scholarships for Methodist students and strong support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, as well as Methodist schools, colleges and universities, you help expand opportunity and prepare the next generation of leaders for transformational service in the church and the world.
Cuts to U.S. foreign aid have devastated global health programs, impacting tens of thousands. We are expanding our network of hospitals, clinics and volunteers; working to fund some of the suspended initiatives; supporting health systems in underserved areas; partnering with African health boards to address preventable diseases; and helping to provide continued access to lifesaving treatments, vaccines and essential health care for those in need. With your support, we can bring hope and healing to those most in need.
As forced displacement reaches historic highs, millions have been uprooted by war, disaster and poverty. Guided by faith, we stand for compassionate refuge, opposing policies that deny protection and affirming the vital contributions immigrants bring to community life. With your partnership, we are increasing our efforts to provide legal aid, to support faith-based immigration advocates and to deliver essentials like food, shelter and medical care. Together, we can restore dignity, justice and opportunity to those forced from their homes.
In regions wracked by war—such as Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan and the D.R. Congo—millions are suffering as foreign aid retreats. Building on our longstanding Methodist legacy, we are increasing our efforts to provide urgent humanitarian relief while also working with trusted partners to counter violence and strengthen peace and justice initiatives. With your support, we can bring hope, stability and dignity to impacted families and communities.
This moment matters. Your faithfulness makes this work possible.
